Milaca’s girls golf team came in second place in their most recent meet on May 29, at Wapicada Golf Course in Sauk Rapids.
The team was led by both Elaina Davis and Kaitlyn Kiel, who shot a 91 and 93 for their rounds which was good enough to place them sixth, and seventh out of the tournament field.
Head coach Heather Hoeck was pleased with the results from Wapicada and the progress the team has made over the past couple weeks. “We dropped our team score by 5 strokes from when we played there in April for our conference meet,” Hoeck said.
Staples-Motley won the meet with their team recording 366 shots. Milaca finished with 390.
This was the final meet of the regular season for the Wolves’ girl golf program. The section tournament began on June 3, with several from the Milaca team aiming to make the trip to state.
