Norene L. Krause

A Celebration of Life for Norene L. Krause, of Cambridge, will be held on Saturday, October 5, 2019. Family and friends will be sharing memories of her from 1-5 p.m. at Bear River Community Center and Town Hall, previously known as Bear River School in Bear River, MN. Norene passed away peacefully at her residence on Monday, August 26, 2019 at the age of 79. Norene was born on August 20, 1940, in Hibbing, MN to John and Mae (Flank) Wilienius. She grew up in Bear River, graduating from Alango High School in 1959. After graduation, she lived in Sacramento, CA and started a courtship with her late husband, Ira Dean Krause, where they were united in marriage on August 20, 1960. They later moved to Princeton, MN and raised their family of two children. Norene worked at Milaca Mills in her later working years, before retiring and enjoying her time at home with loved ones. Norene loved to travel cross country alongside her husband Dean. In addition, sewing and needlework and listening to the music of Elvis Presley were also enjoyed. She was well known for her love of all sports, from high school, college, and pro. Norene is survived by one son and one daughter, Michael Krause of Cambridge and Teresa Krause of Onamia; five grandchildren, Amanda Ostman, Philip Krause, Christine Krause, Ashley Krause, and Hannah Mosher; two great-grandchildren Isaiah and Aiden Ostman; one sister, Bonieva (Russ Swonger) Bartlett, and one brother, Johnny Ray Wilienius; and other relatives and friends. Norene was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Dean Krause, in April 1992; sister, JoAnn Treloar; and her special friend of 23 years Craig Juusola Sr.
