Lois Betzler

Lois Betzler, age 84, of Princeton, passed away peacefully, Thursday, November 14, 2019 at Fairview Southdale Hospital. Lois was born on December 26,1934, the daughter of Arne (Oscar) and Ruth (Sundin) Ranem in Milaca, MN. She attended grade school in Milaca, but in 1947 the family moved out to Richmond, CA where she finished school and graduated. After graduation she moved back to Minnesota. She was united in marriage to Roger Betzler on May 28,1955 in Milaca. The two made their home on their farm in Princeton, where they raised three children, Kenneth, Curtis, and Tracy. Lois loved spending time with family and friends. Her most cherished times with them were spent playing cards and laughing together. Lois was such a kind and caring person who had a strong belief in her faith. She was an active member in her church and served as a Sunday school teacher for many years. Lois is survived by her children, Kenneth (Daniel Hetman) Betzler, Curtis (Melissa) Betzler and Tracy (Brian) Puent; grandchildren, Brent (Chris) Betzler along with their children, Eathan, Allisyn and Kailey; and Karina, Anna, and Nicholas Puent; sister Karin Smith; along with many nieces, nephews and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her husband Roger, her parents, and brothers Donald and Ronald Ranem. A gathering of family and friends will be held on Monday, November 25 from 4-7 p.m. with a service at 6:30 p.m. at the Evangelical Free Church in Princeton. All welcome.
