Homecoming Week at Milaca Schools is extremely early this year, with festivities ending with the Wolves football game vs. Little Falls on Friday, Sept. 13. Here are a few of the main events:
The week kicks off on Monday, Sept. 9 with Blackout Monday and a junior varsity football game at 5 p.m. Jersey Day is set for Tuesday, Sept. 10. The Milaca girls swimming and diving team will be host to dual meet versus Princeton starting at 6 p.m.
The Homecoming Coronation is scheduled for 2:25 p.m. in the high school gymnasium, followed by the Powder Puff game starting at 5:30 p.m.
Also on Wednesday is the All-You-Can-Eat Pizza Fest from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $5 in advance and $7 at the door. Kids under 6 are $3.
The Pizza Fest is at the concession stand at Claffy Field. Advance tickets for the Pizza Fest are available at First National Bank or the Milaca School District Office.
In case of rain, the event will be in the high school cafeteria. Scheduled for Thursday, Sept. 12 is the “Dress to Unimpress Day,” and the girls swimming team hosts a meet at 6 p.m.
The week concludes with Spirit/Pride Day on Friday, Sept. 13, with the Homecoming Pepfest at 1:45 p.m. in the gym. The Big Game Block Party is scheduled for 4:30 to 6:30 p.m., on the north side of Milaca Public Schools.
This event is a Wolves Homecoming Tailgating event. Food will be available for purchases from loacal businesses with spirit gear, promotions, drawings and prizes. Music will be provided by KCLD.
Activities include games and activities, free promotional items, crazy hair, live demonstrations and yard games.
Food options include walking tacos, shredded chicken, burgers, pork chops, nachos, desserts and pizza.
Fans can get picture taken with “Shadow” the mascot and play Milaca trivia to get entered to win gift cards to local businesses.
The football game features Milaca taking on Little Falls at 7 p.m.
