The Union-Times is proud to announce the official release of custom, localized replica editions of a popular board game that includes local properties and playing pieces featuring Milaca and Princeton.
Each PrincetonOpoly and MilacaOpoly game consists of a board featuring local businesses, six themed pewter tokens, condos, mansions, game instruction cards, deeds, play money, and dice.
Players take turns moving around the game board, buying and trading locally themed properties, and developing them with buildings.
They collect rent from their opponents, with the goal being to drive them into bankruptcy.
Games can be purchased online for $28.99 at the newspaper’s website, unionandtimes.com, starting Monday, Oct. 7.
There will be an order form placed under the “Submission Forms” section of the website with instructions posted on how to purchase your game.
Purchased games will be available for pick-up at the Union-Times office in Princeton, 208 N. Rum River Drive, or at the Star News office in Elk River, 506 Freeport Ave., Suite A.
Residents who want to purchase a game can also call for an appointment to purchase games with a check or credit card by stopping at the Union-Times office.
