Ice fishing ends, street fishing begins

Neighbors with a creative sense of humor set up a still-life street-fishing scene over the weekend of March 3-4, as temperatures neared 50 degrees and tons of snow continued melting. The fictitious fisherman sat on the sidewalk and fished in the flowing water at the corner of First Street and Eighth Avenue North. Not shown is a sign to the left that reads, “no lifeguard on duty.”
