Harry and Lorna (Wessman) Kiel

Harry and Lorna (Wessman) Kiel recently celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary. They were married on October 4, 1947 in Milaca, Minnesota and spent their early years in Minneapolis. Harry worked as a supervisor for the Northwestern Bell Telephone Company and Lorna as an intensive care head nurse at Unity Hospital. After retiring, they moved to Mille Lacs Lake and then to Sarasota, Florida. Currently, they reside in Fergus Falls, Minnesota. In retirement they enjoyed traveling, going through 49 of the 50 states. Sorry, Alaska. In July, Harry and Lorna were blessed to be able to be together with their entire family. Celebrating with them were 3 daughters and their husbands, 6 grandchildren and their spouses and 18 great-grandchildren. When asked what has kept their marriage strong for all these years, the answer is given without hesitation. LOVE and COMMITMENT. A strong love for God and a commitment to Him and love for each and a commitment to their marriage, despite whatever circumstances surround them. Both say that God has blessed them with their family and a great life together. Cards may be sent in care of Woodland Lodge, Fergus Falls, Mn 56537
