Nearly 500 high school seniors graduated from Farmington High School on Friday, June 7. The commencement ceremony was held outdoors at the school’s football stadium and included remarks from Principal Dan Pickens, District 192 Superintendent Jay Haugen and faculty speaker Todd Karich. Student council president Maggie Mortimer gave the senior reflection and senior class speaker Zeb Zimmer spoke of the class of 2019’s various accomplishments throughout the school year. At the end of the ceremony, the graduates’ class song, “Africa” by Toto, rang out across the football field.
