Eastview, Burnsville meet in Section 3 final Thursday
Lakeville South will be the lone South Suburban Conference team in the state Class AA boys hockey tournament after the Cougars defeated Lakeville North 4-0 in the Section 1 final Thursday at Burnsville Ice Center.
Most of the South Suburban Conference sports events scheduled for Tuesday already have been postponed because of a forecast for extreme cold weather.
Despite losing twice last week, Eagan’s girls hockey team is in position to clinch the South Suburban Conference championship this week.

Stillwater, the team that thwarted Lakeville North’s attempt for back-to-back state Class AA gymnastics championships, will go into Saturday’s Panther Invitational at Lakeville North as the favorite.
