Kowalski’s named Outstanding Disability Employer
Kowalski’s Markets was selected as an Outstanding Disability Employer by the Minnesota Organization for Habilitation and Rehabilitation, MOHR, during National Disability Employment Awareness Month in October. Eagan Kick-Start Rotary adds members
The Eagan Kick-Start Rotary Club inducted Don Cogswell, Laurie Halverson and Susan Schuster as new members in October.
Cogswell is retired after 40 years of teaching young scholars in ISD 196 schools. He is the president of the Minnesota Scottish Fair & Highland Games which recently moved its annual summertime event to Eagan.
Halverson is state representative for District 51B in Eagan. Her volunteer service includes the Eagan Parks and Recreation Commission, the Eagan Foundation and ISD 196. She has a degree in political science from St. Catherine University and has attended the Master of Public Affairs program at the Humphrey Institute at the University of Minnesota.
Schuster is currently the principal community relations consultant at Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota. Her work experience includes consulting, business line, and human resources leadership positions at three Fortune 500 corporations. She earned an MBA from the University of St. Thomas, and is pursuing a doctorate focused on cross-sector collaboration, management and public service at Hamline University.

Dentist returns to her roots
Dentist Maliah McGraw in July joined the Midwest Dental office located at 1121 Town Centre Drive, Eagan.
Born and raised in Eagan, McGraw earned a bachelor’s degree in chemistry from the University of St. Thomas and a dental degree from Southern Illinois University School of Dental Medicine.
She provided care at Midwest Dental in Zumbrota prior to her new position.

Morgan’s hires new executive chef
Olivier Lagier has been hired as executive chef at Morgan’s Farm to Table Restaurant in Burnsville.
Born and raised in the French Alps on the border of Switzerland and Italy, Lagier received training and certifications in both cuisine and pastry in Groisy, France, and held various positions throughout Europe, Australia, New York City and Steamboat Springs, Colorado, before landing in his wife’s home state of Minnesota.
Before joining the culinary team at Morgan’s, Lagier was the executive chef at The Ole Store in Northfield.
Morgan’s Farm to Table is located in the Best Western Premier Nicollet Inn, 14201 Nicollet Ave., Burnsville.
Eagan staffing software provider offers new app
TempWorks Software, an Eagan staffing software provider, offers time and attendance capabilities with TempWorks Buzz, a native mobile app for employee engagement.
Through the Buzz app, staffing agency temporary employees can punch in and out of work at the job site via their mobile device using a geofencing and facial recognition attendance system. The time and attendance feature will be released at American Staffing Association’s Staffing World 2018 tradeshow.
Buzz also allows staffing agency employees to review paychecks, access assignments, search open positions, and more.
TempWorks Software has been a provider of staffing software solutions for more than 20 years.
Skyline Medical signs agreement with India-based Prenit
Eagan-based Skyline Medical, a division of Precision Therapeutics Inc., has partnered with Prenit World, an international distributor of medical infrastructure for health care facilities, to market its STREAMWAY System in India.
The STREAMWAY System is a direct-to-drain fluid disposal system designed specifically for medical applications, such as radiology, endoscopy, urology and cystoscopy procedures. It connects directly to a facility’s plumbing system to automate the collection, measurement and disposal of waste fluids.

Franchisee raises over $1.13 million for Alex’s Lemonade Stand
Applebee’s Neighborhood Grill + Bar restaurants nationwide raised a record $1.7 million for Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation in a month-long fundraising campaign this summer. A partner in the fight against pediatric cancer for the 12th consecutive year, local Applebee’s franchisee Apple American Group, raised more than $1.13 million alone across its 460 restaurants. To date, Apple American Group has raised more than $7 million for the foundation to help fund childhood cancer research and awareness.
