Monday, July 8 – American Sign Language 101: Get a start on learning American Sign Language and exploring deaf culture in this four-session class. Lessons are cumulative — participants must attend all four sessions. Presented by Taryn Philippi. Registration required, 6-7:30 p.m.

Wednesday, July 10 – Resume Rescue: Creating an effective résumé can help a desired job. Learn how to use a résumé to show a potential employer one’s value. Topics covered include formatting,styles, common mistakes, dos and don’ts, and more, 3-5 p.m.

Friday, July 12 – Crafts From Around the World: Make crafts from countries around the world. Participants will get a passport stamped as they visit each station. Registration required. Ages: 5-12, 10-11 a.m.

Open Studio: Come to the library to work on a current art or craft project while visiting with other makers. Get help with individual projects. New textile techniques demonstrated as requested. Geared for adults and youths ages 10 and older, 1:30-3:30 p.m.

Saturday, July 13 – Work of Art: Business Plan Essentials: Learn how to prepare a simple business plan in arts-friendly language and get help organizing the various aspects of an artistic practice and making informed business decisions. Presented by Springboard for the Arts, 10 a.m.- 12 p.m.

iLAB: 3D Modeling Basics for Teens and Tweens – Learn how to design objects using 3D modeling software. Participants may print completed designs later using a library 3D printer in any Dakota County iLAB. Registration required. Ages: 10-16, 2-4 p.m.

Regular library hours: Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday noon to 8  p.m.; Thursday, Friday and Saturday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
