The Eagan Fire Department thanked the Eagan Lions for its recent donation of additional exercise equipment during a recent meeting at Eagan Fire Station 1.
The department also thanked the Lions Club for its continued support of the Eagan Fire Department.
The Lions Club is celebrating its 50th year in Eagan.
“From purchasing rescue equipment for one of our first rescue trucks in the early 1970s to the recent donations (they donated over $25,000 in the past three years) for exercise equipment for firefighter wellness, the Eagan Lions Club continues to assist the Eagan Fire Department.” Fire Chief Mike Scott said. “It’s very humbling to receive the kind of support that the Eagan Fire Department has received from the Eagan Lions over the past 50 years. The Lions truly care about and support our community in many ways.”
The city named the training room at Fire Station 1 the Lions Den in honor of the Lions Club donating the equipment.
