This year’s “Royal Bash” went off without a hitch on Feb. 25 at the Minneapolis Marriott Southwest in Minnetonka. This iteration of the Hopkins Education Foundation’s largest fundraiser of the year looked a little different than prior years, with a more open concept for attendees to move around prior to the fundraising program. With a fundraising goal of $300,000, the foundation achieved nearly $215,000 so far. This year’s special appeal, “Step into a Brilliant Future,” focused on three important concepts: the science of reading, expansion of the health and human services pathway at the high school with a new certified nursing assistant certification program and an academic skills center.
