St. Louis Park author contributes to ‘Cooked to Death Volume IV’ - 1

St. Louis Park resident Gary R. Bush is among the 19 authors whose work has been published in the new foodie anthology “Cooked to Death Volume IV: Cold Cut Files.” He wrote “Shepherd’s Pie at the Shaggy Dog Pub,” a story featuring a closely guarded family secret recipe.

“Cooked to DeathVolume IV” features stories involving food, murder and intrigue written by 19 mystery writers from Minnesota, Ohio, Alabama, Colorado and Washington, D.C.

Bush writes for adults, young adults and children and is an author of the young adult historical novel “Sail into Treachery: A Jamie Sharpe Adventure.” His other credits include co-editor of the anthology “Once Upon a Crime,” a children’s novel called “Lost In Space, The Flight of Apollo 13,” and a number of published short stories, including “I’m With It: A Love Story,” “The Last Reel,” “Two Pastrami Sandwiches,” “If They Harm Us,” “Down Highway 61” and “Deep Doo-Doo.” Bush has recently finished the next Jamie Sharpe adventure, “Slaves of Barbary,” and has begun the third in the series, “To the Hostile Shores.”

An upcoming event for the anthology is planned at 7 p.m. Friday, May 31, at Next Chapter Booksellers, 38 Snelling Ave. S. in St Paul.
