Alise McGregor was sworn in April 23 as the new city council member representing Plymouth’s Ward 1. She took the oath of office with her family, husband, Luke, and daughters, Franchessca, 11; and Victoria, 6, at her side. McGregor was among five finalists chosen to be interviewed from the 16 applicants for the vacant seat previously held by Judy Johnson, who resigned in March when she was appointed to the Met Council. Her term expires Dec. 31, 2020. Mayor Jeff Wosje welcomed McGregor to the council. “We’re excited to have you on board,” he said. McGregor said she is “very honored and excited to serve Ward 1.”
