To the editor:

I encourage Minnetonka residents to drive down Baker Road, Minnetonka Drive, Inverness, Farmington and Plymouth roads to see the many signs on area homes with “No Rezoning of Historic Minnetonka Mills” signs. These are just a fraction of residents against rezoning property that is across from the historical Burwell House, Minnehaha Creek and Minnetonka Town Hall, from single affordable homes to high density, low-income townhomes.

People in other neighborhoods might think this doesn’t affect them, but it will affect traffic in a busy area on your way to Ridgedale Mall, Ridgedale Library, Hennepin Government Center and summer activities at Burwell House. Your neighborhood could be next for rezoning per outside developer design. Please let your ward representative know you are against rezoning this historical area.
