Deb Brinkman has announced she will file to run for the St. Louis Park City Council At-Large A seat.

Brinkman has lived in the city for more than 30 years and raised two children who attended St. Louis Park schools.

She cited her leadership experience, passion for the community and her business expertise as reasons voters should consider her.

Brinkman has been actively involved with the League of Women Voters of St. Louis Park, most recently serving as president. She helped found the Kids Voting initiative and led a successful campaign to encourage St. Louis Park to adopt ranked-choice voting.

She is a small business owner with experience as a project manager.

“I pledge to be a responsive council member who will seek community input,” Brinkman said. “Working together we can strengthen our community and ensure it remains a vibrant, welcoming place for everyone that chooses to call St. Louis Park home. I look forward to talking with my fellow residents, answering your questions and earning your vote for City Council At-Large A on Nov. 5.”
