Election results are in for the three open seats on the Hopkins City Council. The race was tight for the two four-year terms with newcomer Alan Beck taking the seat currently held by Aaron Kuznia by seven votes, according to unofficial election results from the Secretary of State.

Beck earned 749 votes (30.5%) while Kuznia had 742 votes (30.21%). Brian Hunke will return to the council with 950 votes (38.68%). There were 15 write-in votes.

Rick Brausen will also return to the council with 827 votes (60%) while contender Gregg Corwin received 531 votes (38%). There were five write-in votes.

Jason Gadd, who ran unopposed for mayor, earned 1,156 votes (94%). There were 62 write-in votes. Gadd, who previously served as councilmember, was appointed this year after Molly Cummings was appointed to the Met Council.
