The Plymouth Farmers Market opened for the season June 26 with plenty of new vendors adding to the variety of fresh local goods. The market is open 2:30-6:30 p.m. Wednesdays at Parkers Lake Playfield through Oct. 9. New to the market this year are Mary and Dan Waldrop of Plymouth. “It’s a hobby gone wild,” Mary said of her embroidered flour sacks and dish towels offered at the market, which she creates with a computerized embroidery machine. In addition, her husband makes vases and bowls out of repurposed wood, such as the elm tree that fell in their backyard. “Half the fun is sourcing,” Mary said. “You see something and a vision comes,” Dan added.
