Members of all ages from throughout the Hopkins community came out to the Eisenhower Community Center April 7 to help make a difference as part of the first-ever Multigeneration Service Fair sponsored by the Hopkins Women’s Club and Hopkins Community Education. Ten Hopkins civic organizations and 10 service organizations “were matched up together to create all these wonderful things that were needed in the community,” said Barb Westmoreland, member of the Hopkins Women’s Club. Whether it be packing hygiene with the JCI Hopkins for Sojourner, a domestic violence shelter, or decorating food bags with the Hopkins Women’s Club for Meals on Wheels, each project offered a unique way for community members of all ages to give back. “It’s an experiment that, I think, worked,” Westmoreland said.
