More than 80 residents and visitors gathered for the fifth annual Bakery & Brewery Tour at Amy’s Cupcake Shoppe in Hopkins. The first stop was, of course, Amy’s where participants had City Girl Coffee and waited for the 10 a.m. take-off. The ride was meant to be done at each rider’s own pace and the kid’s ride was free. Riders rode about nine miles from Hopkins to Excelsior, visiting Red Bench Bakery on Water Street and/or Excelsior Brewing on Third Street. The next stop was Victoria’s Ruby’s Roost Bakery & Cafe on Victoria Drive or Enki Brewing on Steiger Lake Lane. Riders could then circle back to Hopkins to pick up the sweet treat they missed at Amy’s or stop at LTD Brewing on Mainstreet. “It’s a really casual ride so it’s nice for families,” said Amy Brace, the owner and chief pastry chef. Ride tickets included one treat ticket at each bakery and one beer ticket at each brewery. Event sponsors included Tonka Cycle & Ski, Healthsource Hopkins, South Lake Cycle, Jonny Pops, Wolftooth Components, Sota Clothing, Lisa Endersbe Team Realty, Pub 819, Insure with Danny, The Vine Room and The Vine Shop.
