The sixth annual Trash into Treasure donation drive will be 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., Saturday, April 21, at Minnetonka High School.

 

Minnetonka School District student groups and local nonprofits will collect household and personal items to assist Twin Cities charities at the sixth annual Trash into Treasure drive 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., Saturday, April 21, at Minnetonka High School, 18301 W. Hwy. 7, Minnetonka.

This year’s benefiting organizations include Avenues for Homeless Youth, A Better Society’s Project Life Cycle, A Better Society’s Project Impact, Animal Humane Society, Arc Greater Twin Cities, Blankets for a Cause, Bridging, Hennepin County Medical Center, Loaves & Fishes, Minnetonka Public Schools Foundation, Roller Garden Artistic Skating Club and Soles 4 Souls.

Items that were requested include office supplies, DVDs, CDs, clothes, shoes, prom wear, winter wear, pet food, paper towels, games, bedding, towels, cleaning supplies and career wear.

This year’s volunteer student organizations include Minnetonka High School’s  Earth Group, Student Government, People for Paws, Legacy Class of 2019, GSA, Roller Garden Artistic Skating Club, VANTAGE, Tonka Serves  and Blanket’s for a Cause; Minnetonka Public Schools Foundation and Minnetonka Middle School East’s Service Club.
