The fresh snow made for great sledding during winter break at the Staring Lake Park sledding hill (14800 Pioneer Trail) in Eden Prairie. Sledders of all ages lined up to take their turn down the 700-foot hill Dec. 30. While the hill is available during open hours the warming house is currently closed due to the pandemic. Regular hours are 4-8 p.m. Monday-Friday; noon to 10 p.m. Saturday and noon to 5 p.m. Sunday. Visitors should bring their own plastic sleds as sleds with metal runners, skis and snowboards are prohibited.
