On June 7, the city of Brooklyn Center hosted its 1st Saturday Pop-Up Market, an open-air family event that invited the community to the lot at 5801 Xerxes Ave. N. for food, music and vendors.

The city converted the roughly 5-acre lot into a temporary shopping center that will return every first Saturday of the month until October. Vendors can reserve their booths by calling 612-849-1227. The next three pop-up markets are set for Aug. 4, Sept. 1 and Oct. 6.
