Brooklyn Center police officers allegedly shot and killed a 21-year-old man on the 5900 block of Halifax Avenue during a domestic incident involving a weapon Aug. 31.

According to the Hennepin County Medical Examiner, Kobe Dimock-Heisler died from multiple gunshot wounds at 4:37 p.m. Aug. 31. “Manner of death is a homicide,” the press release reads.

According to the police department, officers were called to an incident involving a weapon at 4:18 p.m. “On arrival, officers encountered an adult male. Officers and the male struggled and the male was shot by officers,” the press release reads. “The male was pronounced deceased at the scene.”

All involved officers were wearing body cameras at the time of the incident. Involved officers have been placed on administrative leave.

The Bureau of Criminal Apprehension is investigating the shooting.

One officer received an abrasion on the arm during the incident.
