Saint Therese, a nonprofit senior living organization, has donated $10,000 to Crystal to help welcome people of all abilities to enjoy outdoor play and to gather with friends and neighbors in an inclusive space.

Saint Therese was called to help Crystal’s Park and Recreation department bring a We-Go-Round, a fully accessible merry-go-round, to Becker Park. The equipment is specifically designed to accommodate everyone with space for wheelchairs and built-in benches that face each other.

“We have been continually blessed with support from individuals in and around Crystal and New Hope for more than five decades,” said Brooke Peoples, executive director of Saint Therese of New Hope. “This is a small token of appreciation, inspired by our desire to help cultivate a welcoming community where everyone belongs.”

Saint Therese has five senior communities in New Hope, Brooklyn Park, Shoreview, Robbinsdale and Woodbury.
