Senior Lauren Wojack finished her Robbinsdale Armstrong girls golf career with a 15th-place finish in the 6AAA section meet May 30 and June 3 at Ridges at Sand Creek Golf Course.
Wojack shot a 92 in both rounds to finish with a 40-over par 184. Wojack finished with five pars in both round one and round two.
Edina’s Janice Kim won the meet with a 151 (73-78), and the Hornets also advanced to state as a team with a 649 (319-330).
Wayzata advanced Melanie Leminh with a 154 (78-76), Amy Burnham with a 165 (80-85) and Saachi Desdhmukh with a 169 (86-83). Bloomington Jefferson’s Isabelle Lynch with a 162 (78-84) and St. Louis Park’s Isabelle Segal with a 170 (86-84) also made state.
Freshman Sophia Pung and junior Zoe Hoornbeek also played in the second round on June 3 and took 30th and 31st, respectively. Pung finished with a 210 (99-111), and Hoornbeek had a 213 (109-104).
Pung had seven pars in round one, and Hoornbeek had five total pars in both rounds.
Sophomore Tori Thomas was the last Falcon to play in the second round, and she took 35th with a 238 (101-137). She had three total pars.
Seniors Izzy Bawek (111) and Sara Hansen (114) both played in the first round but didn’t make the cut to the second round.
Wojack, Bawek and Hansen all played their final career high school golf tournaments. Pung, Thomas and Hoornbeek are all expected back next season.
