The paintings of Colleen Semmer, Jan Wagner and Anthony Brenny are now on view in the exhibition “The First Ten Years” at Robbin Gallery, 4915 42nd Ave. N., Robbinsdale.
An artists talk will take place 6:30-7:30 p.m. Thursday, May 12 at the gallery.
The gallery closes May 29.
The artists were trained in traditional academic drawing and oil painting at The Atelier Studio of Fine Arts in Minneapolis. All three artists completed the four-year, full-time training program from 2012-2017.
According to the gallery: “The drawings and paintings in this exhibition represent hours of meticulous attention to detail; everything from initial set up to framing. It has taken 10 years of study and practice to master the craft of representational art. Throughout the journey, all three artists have sought to draw attention to the beauty of everyday objects and experiences.”
Gallery hours are 5:30-8:30 p.m. Thursdays, and 1-5 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays.
