A fall ground-breaking ceremony is planned for the construction of a 198-unit apartment building on a 2.55-acre site purchased by Inland Development Partners at 3600 France Ave., Robbinsdale.
The complex has been named Parker Station Flats, after a former railway station that was on the grounds.
According to a release, “Parker Station Flats is a Class A apartment complex that will feature luxury units with chef-grade kitchens and premium finishes, fitness center, yoga room, an outdoor pool and fire pit, and underground parking – all within walking distance to great restaurants and retail in Robbinsdale.”
Previous work by the developer includes the redevelopment of Robbinsdale Terrace Mall into the new Hy-Vee, adjacent to the planned apartment complex.
The developer has received aid from Hennepin County ($24,468), the State of Minnesota DEED ($184,438) and the Metropolitan Council and the Department of Economic Development ($250,000) to clean up hazardous soils on the property. The developer contributed $59,500 to the testing and clean up.
The Robbinsdale Economic Development Authority has also approved a pay-as-you-go tax-increment financing note for $7.7 million. The total cost of the project is estimated to be $54.75 million.
The target move-in date is in the spring of 2021.
