A 22-year-old who was shot in Brooklyn Park is expected to make a full recovery, according to the Brooklyn Park Police Department.
Brooklyn Park Police Officers were dispatched to a report of a shooting at 9:50 a.m. July 25 at an apartment on the 7900 block of Zane Avenue, the department wrote in a Facebook post.
Officers arriving on the scene located a 22-year-old male with a gunshot wound.
Members of Brooklyn Park fire and police departments provided first aid to the shooting victim before he was transported to a local hospital.
Investigating officers determined the victim was outside of the apartment when he was confronted by an unknown suspect. During the confrontation, the suspect shot the victim and then fled the area.
The department is continuing to investigate the incident.
