The West Metro Fire-Rescue District will conduct live trainings through Saturday, Aug. 24, on a Nevada Avenue home. Pictured is a training conducted last year on Oregon Avenue in New Hope.

Beginning Tuesday, Aug. 13, the West Metro Fire-Rescue District began conducting live fire trainings at 2919 Nevada Ave N. The property is northeast of Terra Linda Park, near Automotive Concepts.

Due to the location of the property, smoke from the trainings will likely be visible for several miles. On the final training day, Saturday, Aug. 24, the building will be entirely burned.

The training dates are 4:30-9:30 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 13; 9 a.m. to noon and 4:30-9:30 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 20; and 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 24.
