Students from Robbinsdale Cooper High School met Monday afternoon, Aug. 26, for the schools’ post-remodel dust off. The dust-off prepared the halls for a busy 2019-20 school year after a $7.7 million renovation this summer, as well as give students an opportunity to earn community service hours.

The students split into groups to dust, spray, wipe, and tidy up the far corners of their school, which was covered in a fine layer of dust due to to heating and air improvements.

Construction in the building was still apparent, and the front atrium thrummed with the drill and hammer of workers in hard hats. When renovations are complete, Cooper will have a revamped atrium, front door facade, and auditorium, as well as completed maintenance to electrical and mechanical infrastructure.

Exterior work is set to be nearing completion now, with interior work continuing into October.
