Osseo Senior High students Elvira Tarlue and Davin Hegland each received a $1,750 scholarship from the Osseo Independent Order of Odd Fellows in partnership with the District 279 Foundation. The scholarships will be used to support their education at North Hennepin Community College.

The Independent Order of Odd Fellows has a long-standing history of service to the local community. Although the Osseo lodge has disbanded, the surviving members are continuing this history of service through their scholarship. The District 279 Foundation is a nonprofit 501(c)3 organization that seeks to provide all students in Osseo Area Schools with the resources and support they need to excel in school and in life.
