W. Jay Gregg

W. Jay Gregg of St. Bonifacius, age 86, passed away peacefully on January 13, 2019. Jay owned and operated Gregg Floor Covering for 45 years. Survived by his wife Shirley; children, Jody Gregg (Karen), Jeff Gregg (Sue), Linda Pylka (Mike), Wayne Gregg and Roger Kuglin; brother Allen Gregg (Sandy); grandchildren, Lee Gregg (Chanda), Nathan Gregg (Tanya), Adam Gregg (Amber), Jason Nolan, Julie Foster, MyKael Kuglin, Jason Kuglin, Adam Kuglin, Jason Browlie and Adam Brownlie; great-grandchildren, Joseph Gregg, Jack Foster, Adelyn Gregg, Nyah Gregg, Logan Gregg, Eli Gregg, Isabel Gregg and Jase Gregg; brother-in-law James Moe; sister-in-law Ann (Dino) Tumbuan; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Constance Gregg; brother’s family Warren, Evelyn, Gary and Rodney Gregg; and son Robert Kuglin. Jay grew up on the family farm in St. Bonifacius, MN. As a teenager, Jay was involved with FFA and won many blue ribbons at the State Fair for his prize hogs. Jay was an active member of his community throughout his life, including: St. Boni Sno Saints, Trustee of the Minnetrista Baptist Church, Minnetrista City Council and Police Commissioner for 10 years, member of St. Boni Lions Club for 26 years and President of the St. Boni Historical Society. Jay was thoughtful and always would be there to help others. Jay will be missed by all of his family, friends, business associates and anyone that knew him. Reviewal was at Minnetrista Baptist Church, St. Bonifacius from 4-8 p.m. on January 17th. Funeral Services were at Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church, Deephaven on January 18th at 11 a.m. with visitation at 10 a.m. Christian Burial was at Minnetrista Baptist Cemetery.
