One man was wounded and another is in custody following a weekend shooting in Columbia Heights.
The victim remains in stable condition after being taken to a hospital with gunshot wounds Saturday morning, according to the Columbia Heights Police Department.
At about 9 a.m. on Saturday, July 6, officers responded to a call about a shooting injury on the 4600 block of Heights Drive, according to the police department.
Police took a 26-year-old male suspect into custody at the scene. He is being held on probable cause for first- and second-degree assault at the Anoka County Jail and has yet to be formally charged.
The shooting is under investigation by Columbia Heights Police Department and Anoka County Sheriff’s Office.
