STRIVE students from Columbia Heights High School and Fridley High School volunteered with the Fridley-Columbia Heights Rotary Club to do annual inventory at the Twin Cities Kids in Need Resource Center.

STRIVE is a scholarship program for high school students through local Rotary clubs and participating students attend monthly leadership-building meetings, go on field trips to local community colleges, volunteer in the community and attend a Rotary meeting.

The STRIVE students’ work on Saturday, Dec. 15 helped the Kids in Need organization with their annual inventory of school supplies that are distributed to teachers at schools with high poverty levels. The STRIVE students enjoyed knowing that their volunteer hours were spent supporting the teachers who in turn support students.
