To the editor:
Bloomington needs a strong, dedicated level-headed mayor like Tim Busse, who has served the city with distinction for the past eight years on the city council.
At the Sept. 17 candidate forum, it was clear that he would be open to bold solutions to the homelessness and affordable housing crisis. As long as one person in Bloomington is homeless, that is too many, he said.
On this issue as well as the proposed community center, his management experience at the University of Minnesota serves him well in building momentum toward outcomes that will serve the interests of Bloomington’s working residents as well as retirees.
In a nonpartisan race, let’s elect Busse for mayor so that the divisiveness of national politics doesn’t hamper any hope of meeting the challenges that face the city.
