To commemorate what would have been Freddie Mercury’s 73rd birthday, Hard Rock Cafe Mall of America will celebrate “Freddie For A Week” from Sept. 5-12.

The celebration kicks off with a concert by the Minneapolis Queen cover band, The Crown Jewels – A Tribute to Queen, on Thursday, Sept. 5. Admission is free with donations benefiting the Mercury Phoenix Trust.

For a limited time, fans may purchase Freddie Mustache Milkshakes as well as a limited edition T-shirt and pin featuring an iconic image of Freddie Mercury on stage. Partial proceeds from these sales will also benefit the Mercury Phoenix Trust, founded by original band members Brian May, Roger Taylor and their manager Jim Beach, to celebrate the legacy of Freddie Mercury by supporting the fight against AIDS worldwide. Since 1992, the Mercury Phoenix Trust has provided more than $17 million and funded more than 1,000 projects in the global battle against HIV/AIDS.
