The cast of Stages Theatre Company’s production of “The Most Magnificent Thing” includes two Edina youngsters.
Based on Ashley Spire’s bestselling book published by Kids Can Press, the STEM-inspired production follows a creative little girl, Maggie, who is determined to make the most magnificent thing for her canine best friend but discovers that the invention process is anything but easy.
Rahael Achett of Edina plays the character of Acacia. In addition to acting, dancing and singing, the 12-year-old loves Marvel, math, and science – Rahael was part of a team that made it to the Minnesota State Science Fair this year.
Meanwhile, Edina resident Aidan Einhorn plays the character of Jules, marking his second time in a Stages Theater Company production. The 15-year-old appeared in Disney and Cameron Mackintosh’s “Mary Poppins Jr.” last holiday season and has also performed in shows with Richfield Lutheran Theater Company and the Valley View Middle School Thespians.
“The Most Magnificent Thing” runs through Sunday, May 12, at Stages Theater, 1111 Mainstreet, Hopkins. Tickets are $16 for adults and $14 for children and seniors ages 60-plus.
