To the Editor:

Bob Stewart is right for the Edina City Council as a leader who will listen to community residents and carefully evaluate the pace of development. A review of his voting record confirms that Bob acts with reasoned consideration and independent thinking.

Edina is an outstanding community that my family has chosen to call home for the past 18 years. This has been a great place to raise our kids, work, and build meaningful relationships. The factors that provide these qualities are not coincidental. They are dependent upon thoughtful and knowledgeable leadership with the support of engaged residents.

Bob Stewart and his family have been my friends and neighbors throughout the time my family has lived here. I was appreciative of his choice to run for City Council four years ago and I fully support his re-election in November. Bob shares the same commitment that I have to maintaining Edina with thriving neighborhoods for families along with a healthy, prosperous business community. Bob recognizes the balance necessary to preserve the quality of life we value while thoughtfully preparing for a vibrant and sustainable future.

As a trained attorney and certified public accountant, Bob has the experienced background needed to review the complex governance issues presented to the council. He also has the dedication to service necessary to consider multiple perspectives and to listen to residents. He supports progress when appropriate and exercises caution when proposed development may not be fully vetted for the present time. He is committed to development that is inclusive and equitable. With multiple projects under consideration, Edina needs Bob’s experienced and thoughtful voice on the council.

Please join me on Nov. 6 in voting for Bob Stewart for City Council.
