Representatives to hold public conversations about insulin, prescription drug costs

DFL lawmakers in the Minnesota House of Representatives have announced new details for a series of community conversations outside of the Capitol to address the soaring cost of insulin and prescription drugs.

The meetings, taking place in Burnsville, Richfield, St. Cloud, and Shorewood over the next several weeks, are an opportunity for Minnesotans to share personal stories with elected officials, learn about solutions under discussion at the Legislature, and put pressure on Big Pharma to end price gouging.

All events are free and open to the public.

- Burnsville Community Conversation

- Richfield Community Conversation

WHERE: Richfield City Hall, 6700 Portland Ave., Richfield, 55423

WHEN: Thursday, Sept. 19; 6:30 p.m.

- St. Cloud Community Conversation

WHERE: Great River Regional Library (Array Room), 1300 W St., Germain St., St Cloud, 56301

WHEN: Saturday, Sept. 21; 10 a.m.

- Shorewood Community Conversation

WHERE: Shorewood Community Center, 5735 Country Club Road, Minnetrista, 55331

WHEN: Monday, Sept. 23; 7:15 p.m.

At 1 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 26, the Health and Human Services Finance Division will hold a formal public hearing in Room 200 of the State Office Building to share stories and ideas from the community conversations.
