The Edina senior girls track captain won the 100-meter hurdles championship during the State Class AA Girls Meet Saturday morning at Hamline University. Adams’ time of 14.39 in the finals is her career best. Her performance helped Edina take third in the state team standings.
Edina High’s ninth-grade track sensation won state runner-up medals in the 100-, 200- and 400-meter dashes in the State Class AA Meet Saturday at Hamline. Her times were 12.35 in the 100, 24.91 in the 200 and 55.98 in the 400.
Edina 4x800 Relay
The Edina High boys track team finished second to Wayzata in the 4x800 relay Saturday in the State Class AA Meet. Noah Koelbl, Willem Gokemeijer, Nick Idrogo-Lam and Augustus Hubbell posted a time of 7:53.21.
Making his first state appearance in the pole vault, Hammond cleared 12 feet in competition Friday, June 7, at Hamline University.
The Edina High junior won the Section 6AAA girls golf championship with a two-day total of 151 at Ridges of Sand Creek in Jordan.
Edina High’s boys golf team won the Section 6AAA golf title last week at Ridges of Sand Creek. McGuire led the Hornets with a two-day total of 150. Teammate John Tucker was close behind with a 151 total.
Reeck’s hat trick helped the Edina High girls lacrosse team defeat Bloomington Jefferson in the semifinals of the Section 6 Tournament last week.
