The Edina Education Fund is hosting it’s annual Cake-Off event Friday, Oct. 4, at St. Patrick’s Church in Edina.

Attendees may stop in for coffee and inspiration to start the day at Cake-Off Coffee from 7:30-8:30 a.m., or choose the main event at the Cake-Off Brunch from 10 a.m. to noon.

The largest fundraiser for Edina Public Schools, the education fund’s goal is to enhance opportunities for all students by working in partnership with Edina educators to sponsor innovative projects in diverse areas, including STEAM, mental health and wellness, literacy and professional development. Celebrating 25 years of support for Edina Public Schools, the Edina Education Fund has raised approximately 3 million dollars to support educational initiatives.

Cake-Off participants bid on beautifully decorated cakes donated by local bakeries for the honor of representing the best in Edina. New this year, the Cake-Off competition is now open to home baking enthusiasts for a chance to win acclaim for excellence in baking. There are two morning sessions available to accommodate different schedules.

Special guest from Valley View Middle School and finalist of the Food Network’s Kids Baking Championship, Meadow Roberts, will join us at the Cake-Off Brunch, which will also feature live auctions for all amateur and professional entries.
