Edina resident Kenneth S. Levinson was among those honored June 6 at the Minnesota State Bar Association’s Annual Judges Conference in Minneapolis.

Levinson, an attorney at law firm Fredrikson & Byron, was recognized with the 2019 Jack Carlson Memorial Distinguished Service Award, which applauded his accomplishments and contributions to the tax community over his many years of practice.

The Minnesota State Bar Association Tax Section began awarding the Distinguished Service Award in 1991 to honor lawyers who exemplify extraordinary tax competence, professionalism and contributions to the tax community. Levinson is a member of Fredrikson’s Business & Tax Planning and Tax Disputes & Litigation Groups. He focuses on worldwide tax planning, transaction structuring and a number of tax issues related to mergers and acquisitions, licensing, employee relocation and international franchising.
