For June 26 to July 2, Richfield Police responded to the following calls:

June 26 – Officers conducted a felony stop on a vehicle for a felony warrant on the 800 block of 76th Street East.

Officers stopped a vehicle for speeding at the intersection of 61st Street East and Nicollet Avenue South. A 27-year-old Richfield man was arrested for third-degree DWI.

Officers responded to the lobby of the police department at 6700 Portland Avenue South for a man turning himself in for a warrant.

Officers investigated the report of a stolen cellphone on the 6300 block of Portland Avenue South.

A vehicle was stopped on the shoulder of the highway on the 6800 block of Nicollet Avenue South. The driver, a 66-year-old Minneapolis man was found to be driving while intoxicated and was arrested.

The report of an assault on the 7500 block of Lyndale Avenue South was investigated by officers.

June 27 – A vehicle was stopped for traffic violations on the 6000 block of Portland Avenue South. The driver, a 53-year-old Minneapolis man, was found to be driving while intoxicated and arrested.

Officers found a 49-year-old Minneapolis man sleeping in a vehicle on the 6700 block of Penn Avenue South. He was arrested for DWI.

An officer stopped a vehicle for failing to stop at a red light on the 7300 block of Nicollet Avenue South. A 24-year-old Blaine man was arrested for third-degree DWI. During a search in booking, the officer located cocaine on the man.

Officers investigated the report of a robbery with a knife on the 7500 block of Cedar Avenue South.

Graffiti was reported on the 6300 block of DuPont Avenue South.

Officers investigated the report of a motor vehicle theft on the 7000 block of 5th Avenue South.

A bicycle was found on 71st Street East.

A bicycle was found on the 7500 block of Pleasant Avenue South. The bicycle will be kept for safekeeping.

Officers responded to the 6200 block of Pleasant Avenue South on the report of an intoxicated man.

An officer was dispatched to the 6700 block of 10th Avenue South for a welfare check. Upon arrival, a 43-year-old Richfield man was arrested for domestic assault.

June 28 – Officers received a request from another agency regarding check fraud for further investigation on the 6600 block of Lyndale Avenue South.

An officer was dispatched to the 7500 block of Lyndale Avenue South on the report of a found dog. The dog was a black Lab with no tags or collars. The dog was taken to the Bloomington Kennel.

June 29 – Officers had a vehicle flee from them on a traffic stop on the 1800 block of 76th Street East. The driver, a 40-year-old Minneapolis man was later located and arrested for fleeing police in a motor vehicle and a DWI.

Officers responded to the police department lobby for a bias crime complaint on the 6300 block of 13th Avenue South.

Officers responded to the 6300 block of Richfield Parkway on the report of a theft. A 29-year-old Minneapolis man was located and cited.

Police officers were dispatched to the 7400 block of Lyndale Avenue on the report of a domestic situation. The suspect, a 29-year-old Richfield man, was no longer on scene. The victim sustained injuries and scratches to their left arm, legs and right torso. The suspect was located approximately seven hours later after he had returned home. He was taken into custody at that time.

Officers stopped two solicitors on the 6200 block of Lyndale Avenue South and one of the solicitors, a 29-year-old Maple Grove man, was arrested.

June 30 – Officers performed a traffic stop on a vehicle at the intersection of 77th Street East and Nicollet Avenue South. The driver, a 22-year-old Bloomington man was arrested for DWI.

Officers investigated a past action check forgery that took place on the 7700 block of Nicollet Avenue South.

July 1 – Officers responded to the 6600 block of Lyndale Avenue South on the report of a crash. A 51-year-old Minneapolis man was found outside of the car and was later arrested for DWI refusal.

A missing person report was taken for a person missing on the 6600 block of Logan Avenue South.

A theft was reported on the 6600 block of Pleasant Avenue South.

Officers investigated the report of a verbal argument between two people inside a car on the 800 block of 66th Street West.

A victim reported that his credit card holder containing miscellaneous cards were stolen from his unsecured locker at a business on the 6500 block of Lyndale Avenue South.

July 2 – Officers investigated the report of a motor vehicle theft on the 6800 block of Humboldt Avenue South.
