A 54-year-old Eagan man died 10 days after crashing his bicycle in east Bloomington.

Robert Edward Anderson crashed at approximately 7:15 a.m. Aug. 9 while traveling westbound on American Boulevard East and died Aug. 19 at Hennepin Healthcare due to multiple blunt force injuries, according to the Hennepin County Medical Examiner.

It appeared that Anderson lost control of his bicycle, and a witness reported that no vehicles were involved, according to Bloomington Deputy Chief Mike Hartley.

Anderson was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash, he noted.
