Mikayla Holmgren will present the “Dreaming Big Without Limits Fashion Show” taking place at the Loft at Studio J in Stillwater on Oct. 29 to benefit Best Buddies Minnesota.

Best Buddies, an international non-profit founded by Anthony Kennedy Shriver in 1989, supports individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities through one-to-one friendships, leadership development, integrated employment and inclusive living. The organization is currently working on expanding programs in Minnesota.

Dreaming Big Without Limits has been Mikayla’s slogan ever since she ran as the first woman with Down Syndrome for Miss Minnesota USA in November 2017. She continues to dream big and recently appeared in an online campaign for Sephora.

The evening will consist of models who are or were Miss Minnesota representatives for several different pageant programs, including Miss Amazing and Pageant of Hope which are designed for those with special needs. A few Styles With Grace will be featured as well. Grace Bohn is a teenager with Down Syndrome who also has big dreams of being a fashion designer. There will also be a special dance performance by Mikayla, herself.

Tickets range from General Seating at $25 per ticket to VIP tables for four at $200. Tickets can be purchased at Eventbrite

Doors open at 6 p.m. Show begins at 6:30 p.m.
