From Bayport to Scandia, farmers markets will reopen for the season throughout June. 

Area farmers, producers and artisans will sell their local products to St. Croix Valley communities. Below, a listing of regional markets opening this month.


The Stillwater farmers market opens Sunday, June 8, from 7:30 a.m. to noon, at the corner of Pine and South Third Streets across from the Washington County Historic Courthouse.

This summer will be the market’s 20th season in the lot across from the historic courthouse, according to the market’s website.

Local vendors offer fresh produce, flowers, plants, honey, maple syrup, Alaskan salmon, baked goods, berries, eggs, poultry, grass-fed beef, cheese, apples, alpaca fiber products as well as handmade soap, lotions and dog treats.

Some of the vendors include: Anderson Apple Farm, Natures Nectar, Sandy Creek Farms, The Sunshine Bakery, Blacksmith Seasoning, Matt’s Wild Salmon and Kuhn Family Poultry, among others.


The Bayport farmers market starts Monday, June 17 and runs 2-6 p.m. every Monday until Oct. 14.

The market, which is organized by the Bayport Community Action League, is located at the Bayport Village Green Park at 498 Third St. N. The market includes local produce, homemade products and local food vendors.

Lake Elmo

Lake Elmo’s farmers market will start its fifth season at 9 a.m. on June 22 at Lake Elmo Elementary, located at 11030 Stillwater Blvd. N.

The market, which runs weekly until 1 p.m., includes 22 local vendors throughout the season. The market also has a weekly drawing with a variety of gifts donated by local businesses.


The Scandia farmers market season starts Wednesday, June 12 and runs 3:30-6:30 p.m. through Sept. 18.

The market, which began in 2011, is located at the Gammelgården Museum, 20880 Olinda Trail N. in Scandia. There are more than 20 vendors, including: Bone Lake Meadows Apiary, Companion Breads, Johnson Family Orchard, Lily of the Valley Floral, Salt-n-Pepper Farm and Willows Coffee, among others.

Music and entertainment for the 2019 season includes: Fendrick and Peck, Prairie Anthem, Rarely Scene and The Houdeks.
