Lakeview Hospital is seeking to add to its team of volunteers and is hosting open houses for those interested in learning more.
Volunteer open house events will take place at the hospital Sept. 23 and 24 from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. and Sept. 27 from 2 to 3 p.m. Attendees will hear from a current volunteer about what’s it’s like to be a volunteer, take a mini tour of the hospital, and watch a slideshow presentation. Coffee and cookies will be provided.
Volunteers make a difference in the lives of patients at Lakeview and are a valued part of the organization. Volunteers have the opportunity to work in more than 20 areas of the hospital, including the gift shop, lobby desk, pharmacy and physical therapy department. They can also provide hand massages to patients, work in the Teddy Bear Clinic (a field trip location for kindergarteners) or visit with patients.
“Volunteering at Lakeview Hospital is a great way to serve the community by staying active and connecting with others,” said Kim KlischBaudoin, volunteer coordinator. “We offer a variety of volunteer roles and are flexible with scheduling. Many of our volunteers are retirees who like to travel.”
Call 651-430-8522 or email LHVolunteers@Lakeview.org to reserve a seat at an open house. The first eight people to register will receive a gift when they arrive.
