Kiwanis of the Stillwater Area recognized Valley Friendship Club with a certificate of appreciation and a check in the amount of $1,000 for their work to create an opportunity for every person with or without a disability to build enduring friendships and embrace community connections.

Kiwanis has supported Valley Friendship Club by providing volunteers at their annual Halloween Party and by connecting them with the Stillwater Area High School Key Club.

“We really value the work Valley Friendship Club does in our community,” said Allissa Obler, vice president of Kiwanis of the Stillwater Area. “It’s a great – and growing – organization and we are happy to support their efforts and give back in any way we can.”

The Kiwanis Club of Stillwater Area is committed to serving youth in the St. Croix Valley. They sponsor Key Clubs at the Stillwater Area and White Bear Lake high schools and the Builder’s Club at Stillwater Middle School. They welcome new members and invite those who are interested to attend their meetings on the third Monday of each month from 11:30 a.m. - 1 p.m. at Acapulco Restaurant in Stillwater.
